" The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible …"

                                             Colossians 1: 15-16

The Virus is " unseen". It passes to us through micro-droplets. I do not think you can see it enter your body. Then, I believe, it replicates and attacks your immune system. This is how I relate to my body all the time. There are things it does every moment that I do not know about. It keeps me healthy, without my help. The amazing part of the body remains unseen by me or others. Blood flows. The heart beats. The lungs breathe.

This is how God works in my life. I am not sure how God is working in the world. Not exactly. Maybe God works like the droplets , mostly unseen, but works in extraordinary ways. In Paul's letter to an early church community at Colossae, he talks about invisible and visible. How does he know that God works invisibly ? I believe he is saying he does not know everything about God. He knows that the God of heaven and earth moves in mysterious ways. What invisible things does God do in this world ? I must have faith, because I cannot see it.

Prayer

Immortal, invisible, God only wise,

In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,

Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,

Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,

Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;

Thy justice like mountains high soaring above

Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

                                              from the Hymnal Worship Book # 70

Shalom and strength through our journey of life and faith, together.

Fred

Soaring like Vultures

Lifted up by unseen Hands

Trust, Silent, enter my fears
